Flatbed freight, run by people who plan for the weather

A Chicagoland-based flatbed carrier moving freight across the Midwest, starting in the Chicago–Detroit–Indianapolis triangle. Veteran owner-operators, veteran-led dispatch, and a person on the phone who already checked on your load.

What we run

Midwest flatbed.
Run like a mission.

Open-deck freight has to be secured right, routed around the weather, and delivered when the dock expects it. We plan every load the way a crew plans a sortie: brief it, execute it, and debrief it when the plan changes.

FIGHTS ON Logistics is veteran-run from the dispatch board to the driver's seat. We carry the same standard the military taught us: know the plan, know the risks, and tell people the truth early.

How we run it

Open-deck freight that has to be secured right

Lanes

The triangle, first

Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and the Midwest around them. That's where flatbed demand is strongest for the freight we target. We'll expand as demand dictates.

Equipment

Flatbed

Open-deck freight, secured to standard on every load.

Dispatch

A human on the phone

Veteran-led dispatch on staff, not a call center. You get a status update because someone checked, not because a portal refreshed.

For shippers & brokers

Freight that shows up when you were told

  • A named dispatcher who knows your freight and your dock
  • A call when the forecast turns, not when the delay does
  • Loads secured to standard on every run
  • A written debrief when something goes wrong, and what changed

For owner-operators

Lease on with a veteran carrier

  • Lease terms in writing before you sign
  • Settlements figured on gross revenue, not just linehaul
  • Insurance chargebacks that step down the longer you stay
  • Room to grow into dispatch and operations leadership

Tell us about the load

The process

Every load flies like a sortie

01 · Brief

Load brief

Commodity, weight, securement, pickup window, and what your receiver actually needs. Confirmed in writing.

02 · Plan

Route & weather

Route, hours, and forecast checked before the truck rolls. Known risks get a plan before they become problems.

03 · Execute

Run & report

Dispatch checks in and calls you when the plan changes, before your dock finds out the hard way.

04 · Debrief

Close it out

If anything went off plan, you get what happened, why, and what we changed. Four lines, every time.

DEBRIEF Example · Weather delay · I-94 corridor
Planned
Steel coil, Gary to Detroit, delivering 0700.
Happened
Lake-effect snow closed the corridor overnight. Delivered 1340.
Why
The weather was forecast. Dispatch saw it but didn't call the receiver until the truck had already stopped.
Changed
Dispatch calls the receiver when the forecast turns, not when the delay does. You hear about it before your dock does.

Owner-operators

Lease on with a veteran carrier

You own the truck. We keep it loaded, dispatched, and paid. Lease terms are in writing, and settlements are figured on gross revenue, not just linehaul.

The chargeback step-down

Stay longer. Carry less.

Insurance chargebacks step down with tenure: 75% of your premium in Year 1, 50% in Year 2, and 25% from Year 3 on. Stay three years and the company absorbs three quarters of your premium — $10,125 a year back in your pocket. That's the Pathway applied to the driver's seat.

Where it goes

Company-run, standard first

We run freight ourselves, staffed with veterans, until the operating standard is proven and repeatable. That's deliberate: growth follows a standard we've run, not a sales target.

As we grow, the first people we look to for leadership are the drivers and dispatchers already inside the company. That's the Pathway working as designed.
